A season’s end

A season’s end

Our pile of boxes grew quickly and then disappeared all at once. Just this morning a crew from Yamato shipping came and took away all of our things, minus a few bags of clothes and other essentials. All packed, ready to be sent to Japan And then it was all gone! It's a bit surreal to have the majority of our possessions officially en route to a foreign country for which we do not even have our visas yet! Boxes weren't the only thing to have left recently. This past week we had the whole gang here! A big "thanks" to all the friends and family who came out to celebrate Danielle's graduation from The University of Washington with us (Danielle will share more on that later!). We had a ton of fun with everyone and felt extremely loved by your support. Boating on South Lake Union in Seattle And finally, we bid farewell to one of our cats just yesterday. With the restrictions we're facing...

The call to 日本 (Japan)

The call to 日本 (Japan)

If you know Danielle or me even a little, you've probably heard us talk about Japan. Well, the season is quickly approaching! Our Seattle apartment is a testament to that! To Marry and Bury

To Marry and Bury

It's with great excitement that Danielle and I get to announce that we have officially been ordained!     We're big proponents of each member of the body being a part of the royal priesthood (see 1 Peter 2:9 and In Christ, In Ministry), each individual being called to minister the gospel of Jesus. Because of that, we have never thought to seek out ordination. Until recently, that is... Though we've been in ministry, as a married couple, for over eight years, we, for the first time, both felt the Lord leading us to get ordained. Shortly after the idea came, the Lord showed me the time, location, and with whom we would be ordained. With the passing of a few months, it happened exactly as I had seen it! We feel so tremendously honored to have had Danielle's Aunt and Uncle, Drs. Heidi and Rolland Baker, Will Hart, Shara Pradhan and the entire Iris Global team in Redding, CA ordain us! "Why? What does ordination mean to...
